How to Block Flight Reservation for Canada Visa Applications

A worldwide guide to flight reservations for Canadian visas and temporary or permanent residence applications

You have chosen Canada. The difficult part is deciding how much of the journey to book before you know whether you can travel. Paying the entire airfare may tie up money you need elsewhere. Submitting a vague travel plan can leave practical questions unanswered. A genuine provisional reservation can help bridge that gap when your application instructions call for flight information.

To obtain a flight reservation for Canada visa applications, first check your personalised Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) document checklist and the additional instructions for your application location. Then choose a realistic route, block or reserve the appropriate flights, verify the details and submit the document in the requested format. Purchase the ticket you will actually fly on once your travel documents and dates are confirmed, unless your specific instructions require ticketed travel earlier.

At Booking Reservation for Visa, our flight reservation service helps you document a proposed journey without paying the full airfare upfront. Whether you are applying from China, India, Pakistan, UAE, Philippines, Italy, Poland, France or any other country, the starting point is the same: your itinerary must fit your actual purpose and immigration category.

This guide explains when a reservation is useful, what Canadian authorities say, how different visa and permit categories affect your plans, and how to order through BRFV. It also covers verification, validity, accommodation, transit, family travel and the changes needed when an application takes longer than expected.

How to get a flight reservation for Canada in six steps

  1. Identify your application. Establish whether you need a visitor visa, study permit, work permit, transit permission or travel documents connected with permanent residence.
  2. Read your checklist. Look for itinerary, flight details, airline booking, air ticket or travel arrangements. These terms do not always request the same evidence.
  3. Choose a credible journey. Match the destination, dates and travel companions to your invitation, admission letter, employment arrangements or settlement plans.
  4. Arrange the appropriate service. Use a genuine airline hold, a travel reservation provider or a suitable ticketed option when required.
  5. Verify before uploading. Check the airline reference, passenger name, travel dates and current booking status.
  6. Keep your plans current. Monitor important changes and obtain actual transport once you are ready and authorised to travel.

The reservation supports the explanation of your journey. Your eligibility still depends on the complete application and the rules for your category.

What a flight reservation for a Canadian visa actually shows

A flight reservation records a proposed journey in an airline or travel booking system. It usually identifies the passenger, carrier, airports, dates, flight numbers and booking reference. Depending on the arrangement, the booking may be held temporarily before an electronic ticket is issued.

An itinerary is a broader term. It can mean the airline’s journey summary, or a written schedule explaining where you intend to go. A document displaying flights is not automatically evidence that those flights have been reserved.

Customers also search for a dummy ticket for Canada visa, provisional air booking, flight itinerary for Canadian immigration or reserved flight confirmation. When purchasing a reservation service, establish exactly what the provider supplies rather than relying on the product name.

Document What it represents What to check
Written travel plan Your proposed dates, destinations and activities Whether the checklist accepts this level of information
Flight quotation A proposed fare and schedule Whether any booking has actually been created
Provisional reservation A booking held subject to its conditions Current status, verification method and expiry
Issued electronic ticket Ticketed transport under the fare rules Ticket status, baggage, change and refund conditions
Boarding pass Check-in information for a particular departure Issued later in the travel process, not a visa application substitute

A Passenger Name Record, commonly called a PNR, contains booking information. The reference used to retrieve it is often a six-character combination of letters and numbers. An airline locator and an agency reference may differ. Neither should be confused with the electronic ticket number. Qatar Airways’ booking retrieval page illustrates the distinction between searching with a booking reference and an e-ticket number.

The practical question is whether your document accurately describes the arrangement behind it. A genuine unpaid hold should be presented as a reservation. It should never be described as a paid ticket unless ticketing has actually occurred.

What IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) and Canadian visa offices say about flight bookings

Canada does not publish one flight-ticket rule that applies identically to every visitor, student, worker and immigrant. The documents requested depend on the application, your circumstances and any local instructions.

National visitor visa guidance includes itinerary evidence

IRCC’s visitor visa application guidance describes an itinerary as:

“Documents that show how long you plan to stay and what you’ll do in Canada.”

The examples include flight details, accommodation evidence and event registration. The same page directs online applicants to their personalised checklist and additional visa office requirements.

This supports preparing a clear travel schedule when relevant. It does not establish that every Canadian application requires a paid return ticket, or that every commercial reservation will satisfy every checklist.

Apply before committing to final travel

For visa-exempt travellers, IRCC recommends applying for an eTA before purchasing an airline ticket. Some authorisations take longer than the usual rapid decision.

For visitor visas, approval instructions explain that visa-required applicants cannot travel until the visa has been placed in their passport. An encouraging application update or passport request is not a replacement for the required travel document.

Is using a flight reservation for Canada legal

Canadian guidance expressly contemplates provisional airline bookings in some circumstances. The sensible conclusion is that an authentic reservation can be appropriate when the relevant instructions allow it. The issue is the truthfulness and suitability of the evidence, not whether the entire airfare has already been paid.

A legitimate booking should correspond to the passenger and proposed journey. Its status must be described accurately. Fabricating a PNR, editing another person’s confirmation or changing dates on a PDF without changing the underlying booking creates a very different problem.

IRCC’s guidance on immigration fraud explains that false information and fraudulent documents can lead to refusal and serious immigration consequences, including a ban. Buying a document from a third party does not remove your responsibility for what you submit.

For customers asking whether a reservation is better than a paid ticket, the answer depends on the evidence requested and the financial terms. A suitable temporary booking can limit upfront expenditure while dates remain provisional. A refundable ticket may be appropriate when ticketed transport is specifically needed. Neither choice, by itself, demonstrates that the applicant meets Canada’s immigration requirements.

Treat “embassy acceptable” as a question to check against your instructions. It should never be understood as an endorsement of a provider by IRCC or a promise of visa approval.

Choose a return journey or one way itinerary for the right reason

Your booking format should reflect the purpose and expected duration of the trip. Adding an artificial return date merely to make a document look complete can create inconsistencies elsewhere.

Travel purpose A practical planning approach
Short holiday or family visit A return or genuine onward journey can explain the intended end of the visit
Conference or business meetings Align arrival and departure with the event and any reasonable personal time
Long academic programme Plan the initial arrival; do not invent a return flight years outside airline booking availability
Employment in Canada Align arrival with the authorised work arrangements and employer’s reporting instructions
Approved permanent residence move A one way journey may fit a genuine relocation
Connection through Canada Show the complete onward route and time spent in transit

These are planning suggestions, not universal document rules. An officer may request particular evidence in an individual case.

For a visitor, a return reservation helps describe intended travel but does not independently prove a commitment to leave. For a student or worker, a one way itinerary does not remove the obligation to comply with temporary status conditions. Explain your actual circumstances consistently across the application.

Flight reservations for Canadian visitor visa categories

A visitor visa is also called a temporary resident visa or TRV. Tourism, family visits and many short business trips are purposes of travel within the visitor framework, rather than separate immigration programmes with entirely different ticket rules. A visa may permit single or multiple entries, while the authorised duration of each stay is a separate issue. See IRCC’s visitor visa overview.

Tourist and holiday visits

For a sightseeing trip, build the schedule around places you can realistically visit within your leave and budget. Arriving in Toronto, spending time in Ontario and returning from Toronto is straightforward to explain. Travelling across several provinces requires a credible allowance for domestic transport, accommodation and time.

Your flight itinerary should agree with the dates in your application and planned activities. A two-week holiday should not be supported by accommodation for three nights unless you explain where you will spend the remaining period. Avoid adding destinations simply because they sound attractive.

Visiting family or friends

When staying with relatives or friends, match arrival details to the host’s availability and address. Your supporting invitation and explanation should identify who will provide accommodation and who will pay for travel.

A commercial hotel booking may be unnecessary when the real arrangement is to stay with your host, unless your instructions request other evidence. If part of the trip includes a separate city break, document that portion honestly. Relatives travelling together should also check that each person’s leave dates and intended length of stay agree.

Business visitors and conference attendees

IRCC distinguishes business visitors from people entering the Canadian labour market. Meetings, qualifying business activities and conferences may fit the visitor framework; performing work can require a different assessment.

Book around the invitation or registration dates. Allow enough time to reach the venue after an international arrival. Where the employer pays for the trip, the itinerary should fit the company’s explanation of its purpose and duration. If an organiser supplies an IRCC event code, follow the instructions for including it.

Super visas for parents and grandparents

A super visa supports extended visits to qualifying children or grandchildren in Canada. IRCC describes stays of up to five years at a time, subject to the applicable conditions and border assessment. It has specific host, financial, medical and insurance requirements. Refer to the current super visa eligibility page.

The initial flight should align with the intended start of the visit and insurance arrangements. A long authorised stay does not mean an airline can reserve a return departure five years ahead. Explain the proposed duration and follow the requested evidence instead of creating an impossible schedule.

Medical visits and compassionate travel

Medical treatment, visiting a seriously ill relative, attending a funeral and other compassionate reasons require an honest explanation of the specific journey. They are not automatically separate “medical visas” with one standard itinerary rule.

For treatment, coordinate proposed dates with the provider and distinguish medical costs from travel expenses. For urgent family circumstances, use the available evidence and realistic dates. An urgent booking service cannot guarantee urgent immigration processing.

Cultural events sports religious visits and short courses

Attendance at a festival, sporting event, religious gathering or short course may involve visitor travel. Participating professionally, performing, working or undertaking longer studies can raise separate permit questions. Confirm the activity category before arranging flights, then match the journey to the organiser’s or school’s dates.

How to obtain a flight itinerary for a Canadian study permit

A study permit authorises eligible studies in Canada. It is not itself a visa or an unrestricted travel document. Depending on nationality and circumstances, the student also needs the appropriate visa or eTA for travel. IRCC explains the required arrival documents in its study permit arrival guidance.

For a flight reservation for a Canadian study permit from any country, start with the admission timeline. Your proposed arrival should make sense alongside the programme start, orientation and accommodation availability. A reservation cannot compensate for missing academic or financial evidence.

College diplomas undergraduate degrees and vocational programmes

These applications normally centre on admission to a designated learning institution, identity, financial support and the other documents required for the student’s situation. A provincial or territorial attestation letter may also be necessary. Use IRCC’s study permit document guidance to establish the correct package.

Ask the institution when students should arrive. Booking before housing opens can create an unexplained accommodation gap; arriving after compulsory registration may undermine the intended timetable. If approval is delayed, obtain the school’s advice about late arrival or deferral before replacing the itinerary.

Masters and doctoral study

Graduate students use the study permit framework, with requirements and exceptions relevant to their programme. From 1 January 2026, applicants attending qualifying degree-granting master’s or doctoral programmes at public institutions do not need a PAL or TAL. That exemption does not automatically cover every postgraduate course or institution. Check the graduate student application instructions.

For research students, coordinate the proposed arrival with the department or supervisor where appropriate. A laboratory start date, funding period and programme commencement may differ; the travel explanation should make those dates understandable.

School pupils and minors

Minor students may need admission documentation, parental permission and custodianship arrangements, depending on their circumstances. IRCC’s guidance for minors studying in Canada sets out the relevant distinctions.

Coordinate the child’s booking with the accompanying adult or receiving custodian. Airline rules for children travelling alone also need checking separately. A parent accompanying a child does not automatically receive permission to work or remain for the child’s entire school programme.

Exchange students language courses and short studies

The programme’s duration and structure matter. Some studies lasting six months or less can be completed without a study permit, subject to the applicable conditions; entry-document requirements still apply. See who can study without a permit.

An exchange semester, language course and multi-year qualification therefore should not be given identical travel explanations. Plan the journey around the actual course and any documented onward studies.

Quebec studies and the Francophone student pilot

Study in Quebec generally involves provincial requirements, including a Quebec Acceptance Certificate where required, alongside the federal application. Review the rules relevant to your programme rather than assuming a federal attestation exemption removes every provincial requirement.

The Francophone Minority Communities Student Pilot is a distinct option for eligible nationals attending qualifying programmes at participating institutions outside Quebec. It has language, admission and financial conditions. The flight plan should identify the institution’s actual location and the onward journey from the international arrival airport.

Co op placements returning students and discontinued streams

From 1 April 2026, eligible post-secondary international students no longer need a separate co-op work permit for qualifying student placements. Secondary school students still need the relevant co-op permit. Consult the current placement rules, and do not confuse these arrangements with the separate International Experience Canada internship category.

Returning students should verify both their study status and the documents needed to re-enter Canada. A permit extension does not necessarily renew a visa.

Booking flights for Canadian work permit applications

Canada’s two broad work permit types are employer-specific and open permits. The programme supporting the application determines who qualifies and what evidence is needed. An airline booking does not create eligibility to work. Start with IRCC’s work permit guidance, then arrange travel around the authorised employment plans.

Employer specific permits and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program

An employer-specific permit can restrict the employer, duration and location of work. Many jobs under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program require a Labour Market Impact Assessment, or LMIA. The employer’s documents and the worker’s qualifications carry the application; the itinerary explains the proposed arrival if requested.

High-wage, low-wage, agricultural and Global Talent Stream arrangements fall under different employer streams. For a worker, the practical booking question is when the employer expects arrival and how the person will reach the workplace after landing.

LMIA exempt permits under the International Mobility Program

The International Mobility Program covers qualifying work without an LMIA. Relevant arrangements can include international agreements, reciprocal employment and other specified exemptions.

Common searches include flight reservation for an intra-company transfer, CUSMA work permit, CETA professional or Francophone Mobility application. Each requires its own eligibility assessment. Living in a country covered by an agreement does not automatically establish eligibility under that agreement.

For Francophone Mobility, the proposed employment is outside Quebec. For a company transfer, the route should connect sensibly with the Canadian office. Free trade agreement work arrangements depend on the applicable agreement and category.

Post graduation work permits

A post-graduation work permit, or PGWP, is available only to graduates who meet the programme’s conditions. Graduation from a Canadian institution does not automatically make every applicant eligible. Review the current PGWP eligibility requirements.

Many applicants are already in Canada and do not need to buy an international reservation merely to submit the application. If you will travel, check your re-entry documents and the effect of your current status before choosing dates.

Spousal family and sponsored partner open work permits

Some spouses or partners of students and foreign workers may qualify for open permits. Eligibility is restricted and differs between groups. For example, current student spouse rules identify qualifying master’s, doctoral and specified professional programmes. The foreign worker family rules have their own conditions.

Qualifying sponsored spouses and partners may also have an in-Canada work permit option. When family members travel together, coordinate their flights but keep each person’s immigration basis clear. A shared reservation does not mean everyone receives the same permission.

International Experience Canada

International Experience Canada, or IEC, includes Working Holiday, Young Professionals and International Co-op. Eligibility depends on the relevant arrangements and personal circumstances. Working Holiday generally involves an open permit; the other two categories involve employer-specific arrangements.

At arrival, IEC guidance requires appropriate insurance and funds, alongside other documents. It also calls for a departure ticket or enough money to buy one. A provisional booking used earlier in an application should not be mistaken for the actual departure ticket mentioned in those arrival instructions.

Bridging permits and specialised work arrangements

A bridging open work permit can allow qualifying applicants to continue working while a PR decision is pending. It is not permission for anyone with an immigration profile to travel and start employment.

Other arrangements cover eligible caregivers, seasonal agricultural workers, vulnerable workers, researchers, certain religious workers, diplomatic employment and time-limited public policies. The Innovation Stream and Global Skills Strategy have specific conditions; faster processing aims are not travel-date guarantees. Consult IRCC’s work permits with special instructions before booking around one of these routes.

Flight reservations for Canada PR pathways and immigration travel

Permanent residence involves settlement rather than an ordinary temporary visit. Flight evidence is not a universal requirement for creating an immigration profile or applying under every PR programme. It becomes practically relevant when travel information is requested or when an approved applicant prepares to move.

Federal Skilled Worker Program

The Federal Skilled Worker Program is managed through Express Entry and concerns qualifying skilled work experience and other selection requirements. Education, language ability and admissibility matter; a reserved flight does not improve the applicant’s selection score.

Prepare a broad relocation budget early, but separate that planning from committing to a departure date before approval.

Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class is an Express Entry programme for qualifying applicants with Canadian skilled work experience. Some candidates are already living in Canada, making a new international arrival booking irrelevant to their PR submission.

If an applicant is outside Canada, subsequent travel planning should follow the approval instructions and their actual immigration status.

Federal Skilled Trades Program

The Federal Skilled Trades Program covers eligible skilled tradespeople who meet its specific conditions. Its requirements differ from the other Express Entry programmes. IRCC’s comparison of all three programmes helps distinguish them.

Category-based invitation rounds, including occupation-focused selections, operate within the immigration system; they are not separate airline-document categories.

Provincial Nominee Program

Provincial nomination can support immigration through an Express Entry-linked or non-Express Entry route. Participating jurisdictions include Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan and Yukon. Each has its own streams and intake conditions. Quebec has a separate selection system; Nunavut does not operate a PNP. See the official provincial nominee directory.

The intended settlement location should make sense alongside the nomination. An international connection through Toronto does not mean the applicant plans to settle in Ontario; explain the onward journey to the nominating province where appropriate.

Atlantic and community immigration routes

The Atlantic Immigration Program supports eligible workers and international graduates through qualifying employment in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

The Rural and Francophone Community Immigration Pilots involve selected communities, qualifying employment and programme-specific conditions. A flight into a major hub may be only the first stage. Plan the domestic connection or overland transfer to the destination community.

Quebec selected workers and business immigration

Quebec’s Skilled Worker Selection Program, known as PSTQ, uses its own selection process before the federal permanent residence stage. Quebec also has distinct entrepreneur, investor and self-employed worker arrangements. Check the Quebec government’s programme guidance for current eligibility and intake.

The Quebec Experience Program, or PEQ, also has temporary reopening arrangements for qualifying Quebec graduates and temporary foreign workers. The current provincial notice specifies a 2 July to 31 October 2026 application-receipt window and conditions tied to earlier qualifications or experience. Review those conditions before assuming eligibility.

Do not confuse provincial selection with a final federal travel authorisation. A proposed move should follow the correct sequence of decisions.

Family sponsorship and accompanying dependants

Family sponsorship includes eligible spouses, common-law or conjugal partners, dependent children, adopted children, parents, grandparents and certain other relatives under specific rules. Parent and grandparent sponsorship depends on its own intake process and is different from a super visa.

A sponsor’s approval does not necessarily mean the sponsored person’s travel documents are ready. Coordinate the principal applicant’s and dependants’ arrangements with the final instructions, especially when the family intends to travel on different dates.

Doctors Francophone graduates and programmes with changed intake

IRCC also publishes pathways for medical doctors. Qualifying graduates of the Francophone student pilot may have a specific route to permanent residence. These arrangements require their own evidence and should not be confused with purchasing travel support.

Older immigration articles can mislead customers about programme availability. At this review date, the federal Start-Up Visa Program is paused, the Self-Employed Persons Program is paused, and the Home Care Worker Immigration pilots are closed to new applications. These federal rules should not be confused with Quebec business programmes.

IRCC’s current PR directory also identifies closed programmes, including the Agri-Food Pilot, Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot, the former TR-to-PR pathway and the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot. Existing cases may continue under their applicable instructions. Check status before making plans around a programme name found online.

After permanent residence approval

Approved applicants outside Canada normally receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, when required, a permanent resident visa. Check names, passport information and expiry dates before purchasing transport. IRCC’s Express Entry approval guidance explains that travel must occur before the COPR expires.

One way travel can suit a genuine permanent move. If you intend a short initial visit followed by a later relocation, consider the documents needed for the subsequent return. Existing Canadian permanent residents generally need a valid PR card or permanent resident travel document to board commercial transport to Canada.

Transit visas eTAs and other special circumstances

A Canadian transit visa can be relevant to visa-required travellers connecting between international flights for 48 hours or less, subject to the stated conditions and exemptions. Longer stops or visits can require a visitor visa. Show the complete route and check entry permission for the final destination.

An eTA is an electronic travel authorisation used by eligible travellers, not a study or work permit. A visitor record concerns authorised stay inside Canada and is not a replacement entry visa. A temporary resident permit, or TRP, is a different mechanism for certain inadmissibility or other eligibility issues.

Refugee resettlement, protected-person applications, humanitarian and compassionate cases, and specialised public policies follow distinct procedures. Resettlement travel is often coordinated through designated organisations; IRCC advises sponsors about arranging refugee flights. Follow the responsible authority’s directions before independently purchasing a reservation service.

Reserve Canada travel from worldwide locations

Your nationality, passport or travel document, immigration status and mode of travel help determine what Canada requires. The airport you depart from does not settle that question. For instance an Indian citizen studying in Italy and an Italian citizen departing from India may need different Canadian entry documents.

When ordering a Canada flight reservation, use your real departure point and lawful return or onward arrangements. If you live abroad, do not automatically book from your nationality country. A Pakistani resident of Milan or an Indian resident of Warsaw may have a genuine itinerary beginning and ending in Europe.

Applicants from Dubai Abu Dhabi and other Gulf locations

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are cities in the United Arab Emirates. A UAE residence permit is different from UAE citizenship. An expatriate applying from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain or Kuwait should check Canada’s rules for their own passport and status.

For a proposed return to the Gulf, also check whether your residence permission and any relevant re-entry documents will remain usable. The flight booking should fit the trip you can actually make.

Non nationals living in the Schengen area

A Schengen residence permit does not turn its holder into a citizen of that country. A visa-required national living, working, studying or visiting lawfully in Europe may still need a Canadian visa.

Citizens of many European countries generally use an eTA for eligible air travel instead of a visitor visa. Passport-specific exceptions matter, including Romania’s electronic-passport distinction. Canada’s entry requirements by country explain the relevant categories.

Therefore, a Canada work permit itinerary from France or a Canadian study permit reservation from Poland should reflect both the applicant’s immigration route and actual residence. Schengen visitor rules do not become Canadian application rules simply because the flight originates in Europe.

Worldwide departure and residence planning index

The locations below help you identify a starting point for Canada-bound planning. They are not a list of nationalities guaranteed a visa or a promise that every airline route is available. BRFV can assess the proposed itinerary against its current booking options.

Where to Apply for a Canada Visa from Your Country

Applicants worldwide should begin with the official Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) application instructions for their visa, study permit, work permit or immigration programme. When biometrics or passport submission is required, authorised Canada Visa Application Centres (VACs) provide administrative support. The private companies involved in Canada’s VAC network include:

  • VFS Global: Operates Canadian visa application centres across numerous countries, providing services such as biometric collection, passport transmission and other authorised administrative assistance.
  • TT Services (TT Visa Services): Supports Canadian visa applicants in designated locations, with VAC services delivered through arrangements involving VFS Global.

To locate the appropriate centre, consult IRCC’s official visa application centre directory and follow the linked website for your location. Check appointment requirements, available services and document-submission instructions before visiting. Submit your passport only after receiving IRCC’s request. These centres handle authorised administrative tasks; Canadian immigration officers assess applications and make visa decisions.

Important exceptions to check before ordering

US citizens and US lawful permanent residents have different entry-document rules from ordinary visa-required visitors. Canadian citizens and permanent residents also follow their own documentation requirements.

Some citizens of specified visa-required countries can use an eTA for qualifying air travel if they meet additional conditions. IRCC’s conditional eTA list currently includes Indonesia and Malaysia alongside countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, the Philippines and Thailand. The exceptions do not apply automatically to everyone from those countries.

You can also consult IRCC’s guidance on applying while legally admitted to another country. Keep evidence of your actual status available and follow the current application instructions.

How to book a Canada flight reservation through BRFV

Booking Reservation for Visa flight reservation order page collects the information needed to prepare your proposed journey. Have your passport names, route, intended travel dates and submission deadline ready before completing the form.

Step 1 Select the reservation service

Choose Flight Reservation when you need flight documentation. Select Hotel Booking for suitable accommodation evidence, or Flight Plus Hotel when both services match your actual plans. Check your application requirements first so you purchase the relevant support.

for-getting-flight-reservation-for-canada-visa-visit-BRFV-homepage

Step 2 Enter the travellers and contact details

The form requests the number of travellers, email address, phone number, titles and passenger names. Copy names carefully from the travel documents. If a passport has only one name or an unusual name structure, ask how it should be entered before the booking is created.

Use an email account you can access promptly. Family orders need an individual name check for every passenger, including children. Similar names make it particularly easy to overlook an error.

select-and-open-BRFV-flight-reservation-plan-page

Step 3 Choose the trip format and flight details

Select One Way, Round Trip or Multiple Cities. Enter the departure location, Canadian arrival airport and dates, including the return or onward details where appropriate. The form allows additional flight preferences.

Specify the airport when a city has more than one. Explain any required domestic connection, separate departure city or practical restriction. Preferences remain subject to the booking options available; do not assume that a requested carrier or connection has been confirmed until you receive the document.

complete-flight-booking-form-and-procceed-the-payment

Step 4 Provide the application destination and timing

The general details section asks about the consulate, intended delivery timing and visa interview information. Identify Canada and explain your real deadline. If you are applying online without an interview, provide the relevant submission timing rather than inventing an appointment.

An online application date and a later biometrics appointment serve different purposes. Tell support when you need the travel evidence for uploading, so the booking is not timed solely around the wrong event.

Step 5 Review the total and complete payment

Check all names, dates and selections against your notes. The live form may apply supplements for particular choices, including multiple-city arrangements. Review the displayed total and payment conditions before proceeding.

The amount paid for a reservation service is separate from the full airline fare and Canadian government fees. Keep the order confirmation in case you need support or a correction.

Step 6 Receive verify and prepare the document

BRFV’s ordering process provides delivery by email. Open the attachment promptly and compare it with the details you supplied. Verify the booking using the appropriate airline method before relying on it.

Request corrections through the provider so the booking record and the document agree. If your application includes accommodation, an invitation or a covering explanation, review their dates together before uploading.

Buy a Canada flight reservation from BRFV

BRFV offers separate flight and hotel services as well as a combined package.

Service Displayed base price per person Appropriate use
Flight Reservation $15 Documenting a suitable proposed air journey
Hotel Booking $15 Supporting genuine plans to stay in commercial accommodation
Flight Plus Hotel $24 Coordinating flight and accommodation evidence when both are relevant

The advertised features include airline verification, validity of up to two weeks, up to four corrections and urgent delivery without an additional urgent-service charge. The site also lists 24/7 support. Confirm the delivery deadline and terms for your order, especially for complex routes or several travellers.

Our hotel booking service describes verification through hotel contact by phone or email. The combined flight and hotel option can help customers organise related documents through one order.

purchased-hotel-booking-for-canada-visa

The value for a Canada applicant is practical: organising suitable travel evidence while avoiding an unnecessary full-fare purchase before the journey is settled. Choose accommodation that matches your genuine plans; a family host, student residence or employer-provided room may call for different evidence.

get-both-flight-and-hotel-reservations-for-canada-visa

For a straightforward visit, a flight-only order may be enough for the travel portion of your checklist. A customer arranging a hotel-based holiday may find the combined service more convenient. A student whose university already provides residence confirmation can concentrate on the air journey. Choose the package according to the evidence you actually need, and retain your order details for later support.

How long to hold a reservation and when to block your flights

The most useful booking is one that is current when you need to submit or provide it. Ordering weeks before your paperwork is ready can use up its validity before it serves its purpose.

Finish the documents that determine your itinerary first. For a visitor, that might mean agreeing dates with the host and employer. For a student, it can mean confirming the start date and accommodation. Once those details are stable, arrange delivery with enough time to review the reservation and resolve errors before submission. Leaving every check until the final hour creates avoidable pressure.

Three different dates need attention: the date the document is issued, the booking’s expiry or ticketing deadline, and the proposed flight departure. A booking created today for travel several months later may still expire shortly. The future departure date does not keep the hold alive.

Canada’s processing time tool provides estimates that vary by category and circumstances. A two-week airline hold should never be described as covering the entire Canadian assessment period.

If your application is delayed, ask what can be renewed or replaced and what it will cost. The airline may require a new reference or different flights. Do not assume that the same PNR, fare or schedule can be extended indefinitely.

An expired hold does not, by itself, establish that the application has been refused. If IRCC requests updated travel evidence, provide current information by its deadline. If your actual plans materially change, follow the official process for advising IRCC rather than silently changing only the reservation.

Verify your booking before you submit it

Verification checks both authenticity and accuracy. A PDF can look convincing while containing the wrong date, an incomplete route or a reference that does not retrieve the intended booking.

  1. Go directly to the airline’s official website and open its booking-management function.
  2. Enter the correct airline reference and passenger surname as instructed.
  3. Compare the passenger, origin, destination, travel dates and flight numbers with the document.
  4. Review the status of every relevant segment and any payment or ticketing deadline shown.
  5. Contact the provider if the record cannot be retrieved or the information differs.

With connecting or codeshare journeys, ask whether another airline locator is needed. A reservation system may display information differently from the operating carrier’s website. Retrieval difficulty should be investigated rather than ignored or automatically treated as proof of fraud.

Likewise, seeing a booking on screen does not necessarily mean a ticket has been issued or the arrangement will remain active indefinitely. Check what the status actually says.

Keep the PNR and surname private. Together they can allow access to booking information. Do not post an unredacted customer confirmation publicly or reuse another traveller’s document as your own evidence.

Match the Canadian airport to the real destination

The cheapest international arrival point may be far from your school, employer or host. If you land in Vancouver but intend to study in Ontario, show how you will complete the journey. If the onward portion is still a proposal, describe it honestly rather than implying it is already booked.

Check that city names and airport codes agree. A booking to the wrong airport can affect both the cost and credibility of the wider plan.

Allow for local dates and overnight travel

Departure and arrival dates can differ because of flight duration and time zones. Match accommodation to the date you actually reach the property. A late-night arrival may require a booking beginning the previous calendar evening to ensure a room is available.

Leave realistic connection time for immigration formalities, baggage collection and terminal changes. Separate bookings can create additional practical risks if an earlier flight is delayed.

Check transit rules for every country on the route

Canadian permission does not automatically settle the rules for connecting through the United States, United Kingdom, a European airport or another hub. Check the transit country’s official instructions for your nationality, documents and connection type. Leaving the international area, changing airports or collecting baggage can change what permission is needed.

For travel from Russia or locations with limited routing options, verify current operations and restrictions before requesting specific flights. A route that appeared in an old sample may no longer be available.

Keep the total budget credible

Allow for eventual airfare, accommodation, local transport, tuition or medical costs where relevant, and everyday expenses. A low reservation-service charge does not mean the actual trip is inexpensive.

If someone else is funding the journey, the travel plan should agree with their undertaking. For workers whose transport is arranged by an employer, confirm the existing arrangements before placing a duplicate order.

Prepare the itinerary for your Canadian application

Follow the upload categories and file limits shown in your account. An itinerary should support the application where requested; it should not replace evidence assigned to another checklist item.

If several documents must be combined, keep them readable and in a logical order. A short explanation of the trip can introduce the flight details and relevant accommodation evidence. Preserve the original information, and do not alter booking status, payment claims or dates for appearance.

  • Before submission, compare these details across your documents:
  • Names and passport information where shown.
  • Proposed arrival, departure and accommodation dates.
  • Purpose and duration of the visit, studies, employment or move.
  • Canadian destination and onward connections.
  • The person or organisation paying the expenses.
  • Current booking status and any required supporting explanations.

Temporary applicants who also hope to immigrate should explain their circumstances truthfully. Canada’s law recognises dual intent, while still requiring the officer to be satisfied that the person will leave at the end of the authorised temporary stay if necessary. Buying a return reservation does not replace that assessment.

After approval, review the issued documents before purchasing the final journey. Confirm the baggage allowance, refund rules and total fare, and ensure every traveller has the documents needed for boarding and arrival.

Frequently asked questions about Canada flight reservations

Can I obtain a reservation without paying the full ticket price

Yes, a genuine hold or reservation service may let you document proposed travel without paying the entire airfare. A service or holding fee may still apply. Check that the arrangement meets your instructions and understand when it expires.

Can I block a flight directly with an airline

Some airlines provide time-limited holding options. For example, Qatar Airways describes paid holds of 24, 48 or 72 hours, subject to its conditions. A short hold may not suit your submission timing, so compare its duration and documentation with your actual needs.

Should I buy a refundable ticket instead

A refundable ticket can be an option when you need issued transport and can afford the upfront payment. Read the refund conditions, fees and repayment timeframe. “Flexible” does not automatically mean a full cash refund. Avoid assuming that every airline or booking channel offers the same cancellation rights.

Can I use a screenshot from a flight search

A search screenshot normally shows available flights or a quotation, not a confirmed reservation. It may help explain a proposed route if that is what your instructions require, but should not be labelled as proof of a booking that does not exist.

Will a more expensive itinerary improve my visa chances

There is no basis for treating an expensive airline or premium cabin as a shortcut to approval. Choose a route consistent with your purpose and finances. Spending more on travel evidence does not resolve missing eligibility documents or unexplained circumstances.

Can I change my dates after submitting the application

Plans can change, but keep the information truthful and coherent. Obtain revised reservations through the provider, and follow IRCC’s instructions for communicating material changes. A postponed course, cancelled event or different purpose of travel may require more than a replacement flight document.

Can a family use one reservation

An airline booking may contain several travellers, depending on how it is arranged. Each person’s name and flights must be correct, and each immigration application must contain its required evidence. Family members can have different visa, permit or eTA requirements even when they travel together.

Does a US visa remove the Canadian visa requirement

Not for every passport holder. The conditional eTA option applies only to specified nationalities and qualifying circumstances. A US non-immigrant visa and US lawful permanent residence are also different statuses. Use Canada’s official entry-document guidance before deciding what to apply for.

Should I purchase another booking after a visa refusal

Read the refusal reasons before spending money on replacement travel evidence. A new itinerary may address an actual route or timing problem, but it will not resolve unrelated concerns about finances, purpose, eligibility or previous information. Reapply only with an appropriately updated and complete application.

Does my appointment require an active PNR

Follow the instructions for the specific appointment or document request. For online applications, the travel evidence may already have been submitted before biometrics. Do not assume a biometrics date is the only date that matters for the booking.

Can I fly using the reservation supplied for my application

Travel requires the appropriate issued ticket and valid immigration documents. An unticketed hold cannot be treated as boarding permission. Ask about ticketing arrangements or purchase your final ticket through the airline or a suitable travel provider once ready.

Do I need to travel on precisely the flights originally proposed

Follow any conditions or instructions attached to your approval. Otherwise, assess changed travel against your continuing eligibility, permitted dates and actual purpose. Carry an accurate current itinerary when travelling. Major changes to studies, employment or settlement plans need particular care.

Can BRFV guarantee acceptance or keep my booking until approval

No commercial provider controls IRCC’s decision or airline inventory. Order the service on its stated terms, verify the document and ask about available changes if your timeline moves. Booking validity and immigration processing are separate matters.

Arrange your Canada reservation around the application you actually have

A useful itinerary makes the journey understandable: who is travelling, where they will arrive, why the timing makes sense and how the onward or return arrangements fit. It should agree with the supporting evidence and describe a real proposal.

Once you have checked the applicable Canadian instructions, you can book a flight reservation with BRFV and provide the details of your intended trip. Choose flight-only support or add accommodation when appropriate, check the completed document, and keep the final travel purchase aligned with your approval and confirmed plans.
